John Patrick
Having spent thirty years helping consumers and managing and training sales forces with Citigroup, John Patrick decided to transfer his knowledge and skills to business owners and the business community by venturing out on his own as a consultant in 2006. As an entrepreneur, John has been able to help local and national businesses increase their cash flow and profits while educating them on decreasing internal expenses, reducing the effects of aging receivables, increasing sales and improving on customer service. He is a public speaker and radio talk show guest on the subjects of sales, customer service, accounts receivable management and how today’s consumers and businesses make a buying decision.
John, and his lovely wife Lori, who is a Procurement Specialist for The Bernd Group in Dunedin, have five accomplished children; Sean, a retail manager, Lacy, a restaurant manager, Natasha, who works for a veterinarian, Justin, a top car salesman and Courtney, a Home Health Marketing Consultant. They are also blessed with three grandchildren; Leila, Colton and Preston.
John is very active in his community, having been named in Outstanding Young Men of America for his civic involvement. He currently serves on the Juvenile Welfare Board’s North County Community Council, is a member of The Wealth Building Annex, is an Ambassador for the Centre Club in Tampa and leads Vision 13:2, an outreach to the homeless community. His past involvement included President, Kiwanis and Lions Club, Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce – Government Affairs Committee and Board Member of Homeless Leadership Network. He is also a graduate of Leadership Pinellas, Class of 2008.
John was born in Paris, France and was raised to appreciate the comforts and opportunities that the United States of America affords. Growing up he aspired to be a professional artist, and was accepted by the prestigious Art Institute of Pittsburgh, until he learned that most artists find they have to sacrifice their creativity to meet the demands of the client. Not wanting to have to paint a cow purple and orange, when he knew it should be black and white, he altered his path to business, and his lifelong goal of leaving the world a better place and to contributing to his personal and business community was born. He lives by the phrase made popular by Zig Ziglar … “Help enough people get what they want, and you’ll get what you want.”
