It seems one of our major network computer “switches” crashed Tuesday at 3PM causing our 18 computers to be inoperable. Our “IT” attorney tried for hours to locate a replacement switch and finally, about 10 PM was able to order a part from CompUSA at a cost of $430.00 including overnight shipping with delivery expected about 4PM Wednesday (shutting us down for the day). I got in after Rotary Wednesday at 9 AM and heard about the problem for the first time. I said we had just heard a talk at the TBTT by Barry Shevlin who ran a company that might handle the part. We Googled TBTT, got the company name, called them and they said it was in stock for $250.00. We picked it up on Tampa Road and were back in business by 11AM. Such a deal! (we shipped back the CompUSA part).

What an excellent speaker and motivator Barry Shevlin was!! The food and drinks that Regency Oaks provided for the event were outstanding. Thanks to Judy and her staff. I can’t wait for the next event January 21, 2010.
